Undefeated WBO light-heavyweight champion, Nathan Cleverly took time out of his preparation for his next fight to make an appearance in his continued support of the Kidney Wales Foundation.

Cleverly opened the new look Wilkinson store in his local high street of Blackwood and donated his full appearance fee of £500 to the Welsh charity that he’s been a long time patron of. With Cleverly’s training intensifying closer to the fight and public appearances being limited, there was also a golden opportunity for fans to get photos and memorabilia signed.

The Kidney Wales Foundation charity is going from strength to strength since is formation in the 1960’s and it provides valuable care for many people in Wales that suffer from a range of Kidney illnesses.

 Last week the charity was associated with a 10k run through the streets of Cardiff with a massive 3,000 entrants. Over £70,000 was raised and other benefiting charities are Diabetes UK, Brainstrust, Tenovous, Help for Heroes, Noah’s Ark Appeal and MS Society.
